Your role

The Demand Generation Specialist is a key role to the development of agency capabilities and to the success of our Customers. When Customers purchase ‘Digital Marketing’ from Goose Digital, they’re generally looking to ‘Attract the Right Customers’. This role is crucial to bringing that vision to life. The role operates cross functionally as part of our Agency Operations Team and directly into Customers as assigned. From an operations perspective, the position is responsible for leading the development of professional ‘flight plans’, agency playbooks within our Paid Media solutions and Organic SEO solutions. Documented for re-use by the teams, these ‘flight plans’ help improve our quality of service and efficiencies, reducing time-to-value for our solutions. In addition, several MarTech tools are overseen by the Senior Demand Generation Specialist, ensuring we are using the best tools to deliver our services. The role also serves as a high level consultant and platform administrator within the Accounts team and for one-time Strategy Projects.

GENERAL

  • Be a positive team player and help us maintain a great culture
  • Take a ‘can do’ approach to your work and with Customers
  • Attend scrum meetings, support project plans, for the delivery of services
  • Maintain accurate time logs on a daily basis of activities performed
  • Maintain clean and accurate documentation for your tasks, campaigns, and projects

AGENCY OPERATIONS

  • Work as part of our broader Operations Team and cross functionally to understand, measure, and make better how we deliver Demand Generation solutions (Paid, SEO, etc.)
  • Responsible for developing ‘how we do things’, standard ‘flight plan’ documents for how the team executes various automation and technical use cases for reuse
  • Drive internal communications, training, videos, on ‘flight plans’, act as an escalation point
  • Responsible for measuring marketing performance at the agency level and designing the standard reporting framework to be used at the customer level
  • Responsible for assigned agency technical systems, maintaining documentation and monitoring
  • Active role in the development of internal systems such as AgencyDimensions
  • Maintain skills and training/certification matrix across paid media disciplines

DEMAND GENERATION

  • Leverage the latest MarTech, Media Platforms, and Content options to improvise programs
  • Maintain certifications in MarTech and Media platforms used by Goose Digital
  • Senior input and execution as needed within the platforms used by Goose Digital
  • Senior input on the development and optimization of paid and organic social campaigns
  • Support QA testing of campaigns, websites, emails, and other digital programs
  • Train and oversee more junior staff for routine tasks
  • Run reports in a timely manner at month end or during reporting periods

ACCOUNTS

  • Inspire confidence in our Customers through strong communications of our solutions
  • Be the Customer Subject Matter Expert from a technical point of view
  • Support the Account Lead(s) to tackle complex problems and overcome obstacles
  • Collaborate with Customers and internal teams to develop and execute action plans
  • Identify gaps in the Customer’s marketing process/systems, design better solutions
  • Deliver to the contracted services for Deliverables and/or Subscribed Time

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL SET

  • High level of knowledge of digital marketing in the areas of Paid Media, Search Optimization, Social Media, Email Marketing, Creative Design, Content Strategy and more.
  • High level of problem solving and analytical skills, particularly in data analysis, technical integrations, tagging and tracking, and web standards
  • High level of proficiency in Google, Facebook, LinkedIN, Twitter, Bing, Organic SEO strategies, Programmatic media, copy editing, and Conversion Optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to uncover business objectives, map out appropriate campaign strategies, and lead a team of individuals to achieve those goals
  • Must have strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must have strong marketing instinct and creative energy
  • Must be organized to prioritize multiple tasks and delegate effectively
  • Must have strong writing and editing skills
  • Detail-oriented with an eye for “pixel perfection” and passionate about their contributions
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, results-oriented team environment
  • Strong ability to research best practices and new ways of doing things to remain fresh and efficient

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3-5 years in a digital agency or fast-paced marketing environment
  • Experience leading small teams or in a project management capacity
  • Specialized post-secondary education in marketing, communications, or digital media is a benefit
